Navisite Migration Update!

March 6th 2008

More than likely you are reading this because you are having website issues. We have made our best efforts to get ahold of the last remaining website owners on the old host server, however some information we have is out of date.

Please email questions@word2net.net for your control panel username and password.

Here are the solutions to get your website fully back up!

Scenario 1

Your webpage is up, but none of your email is working. This is a simple fix. The new host server has a slightly different configuration. The structure of your username has changed as well as your password.

I will use the account bill and the domain mydomain.com as examples from here on out. The new username structure for your email accounts is as follows.

bill@mydomain.com would have the username of bill+mydomain.com

The password for all accounts will be the name with a zero on the end. So for bill above, his new password is bill0.

At the bottom of the page you will find step-by-step instructions if you need more assistance.

Everything else with your account settings remains the same.

Scenario 2

Your website is completely off. Nothing comes up. Email is also broke. This is also not to difficult to resolve. The reason your website is completely off is because your Domain Name still points to the old host server. You need to change this in your domain registrar's DNS settings. The new Nameservers are as follows:

NS1.WORD2NET.NET
NS2.WORD2NET.NET

For example, Bill owns mydomain.com at Godaddy.com and we host his actual site here at Word2Net. Bill needs to login to his Godaddy.com account and change the Nameserver settings. We can assist you in making the changes, however we do not know the username and password for these accounts. You will need to retreive this on your own as the Domain registrar will not give this information to anyone except the domain's owner.

After you make the Nameserver changes, you will need to proceed to Scenario 1 above to get your email back up to speed.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, but keep in mind this is only taking place due to the lack of consideration NaviSite has shown to its customers. We do not want to continue to carry this onto our customers.

Remember you can submit your questions to questions@word2net.net.

Sincerely,

Adam Alred
